A distanza di un anno da “The Other One” quarto album in studio delle Babymetal, il celebre trio di J-Pop e Heavy Metal è tornato con “Ratatata” in collaborazione con gli Electric Callboy, progetto Metalcore ed Electronicore tedesco.

Ad un giorno dalla sua uscita, avvenuta il 23 maggio 2024, il videoclip diretto da Schillobros ha totalizzato su YouTube quasi 1 milione di visualizzazioni.
Il brano omaggia l’onda musicale emo-core del 2007, ricordando all’ascolto band dell’epoca come gli statunitensi Attack Attack! e gli inglesi Enter Shikari, noti per aver mescolato nelle loro canzoni elementi metal, electro, dance ed hardcore.
Il testo del brano è di Kevin Ratajczak, Nico Sallach, Pascal Schillo, Daniel Haniß rispettivamente membri degli Electric Callboy in collaborazione con MK-METAL.

Le Babymetal hanno iniziato la loro carriera nel 2014, con l’album d’esordio omonimo del 2014, seguito da Metal Restance del 2016, Metal Galaxy del 2019 e l’ultimo The Other One dello scorso anno.
Tra i singoli più amati di Suzuka Nakamoto in arte Su Metal, Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) e Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) troviamo “Gimme Chocolate!!”, “Karate” e “Distortion”.
Oltre quest’ultima collaborazione, le Babymetal hanno collaborato anche con i Bring Me The Horizon, celebre band del panorama alternative metal inglese nel brano “Kingslayer” pubblicato nell’EP Post Human: Survival Horror del 2020.
