A meno di 24 ore dall’uscita del nuovo singolo “Eyes Closed” gli Imagine Dragons, gruppo musicale statunitense di genere pop-rock, hanno già abbattuto il muro delle visualizzazioni con ben 1.096.369 sul loro canale YouTube ufficiale.

Il gruppo, capitanato dal vocalist Dan Reynolds, è tornato in attività dopo due anni di fermo dall’album Mercury suddiviso in Act I e Act II. Una pausa che ha sicuramente giovato al quartetto di Las Vegas, che con Eyed Closed ritorna alle scene con un brano dalle sonorità soul, hip-hop, dubstep, elettronica ed alternative rock e preannuncia l’arrivo del nuovo album dal titolo omonimo.

Il videoclip è stato diretto da Andrew Donoho e prodotto da Ian Blair con Invisible Inc. Sul brano, il cantante ha commentato:

«Dopo essermi preso un po’ di tempo per me e averlo trascorso con la mia famiglia e le persone che amo, ho provato il forte desiderio di tornare alle sonorità musicali che fin dagli inizi mi hanno dato più gioia, realizzando però la nuova musica con un nuovo approccio e una nuova mentalità».
